1. Introduction and definitions
These Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter, the "Terms") govern access to and use of the PawMeet platform, consisting of the mobile application available for iOS and Android devices and the website pawmeet.io (hereinafter, collectively, the "Service" or the "Platform").
The Service is operated by Cervera Studio, VAT IT04904730167 (hereinafter, "PawMeet", the "Owner", "we" or "our").
For the purposes of these Terms:
- User: any natural person who accesses, registers for, or uses the Service in any way.
- Account: the personal profile created by the User upon registration, required to access the Service features.
- Dog Profile: the information card for a dog owned or cared for by the User, containing data such as name, breed, size, energy level, behavioral traits, and leash preferences.
- Matching: the algorithmic process by which the Platform suggests other Users with potentially compatible dogs, based on predefined criteria.
- User Content or UGC (User Generated Content): any content uploaded, published, or transmitted by the User through the Service, including text, photographs, videos, comments, messages, and profile information.
- Group Event: a walk or activity organized by a User that other Users can join through the Platform.
2. Acceptance of terms
Access to and use of the Service are subject to full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, which form an integral part thereof.
By creating an Account or using the Service in any way, the User declares to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
3. Registration and account
To access the Service features, it is necessary to create an Account by providing: a valid email address, a password, a display name, and optionally a profile picture (avatar).
4. Age requirements
The Service is intended for Users who are at least 18 years old. Minors who are at least 14 years old may access the Service with verifiable parental consent, pursuant to applicable data protection regulations.
5. Description of the service
PawMeet is a social platform for dog owners, designed to facilitate meeting people with behaviorally compatible dogs. The Service is currently offered completely free of charge.
6. User obligations and conduct
The User agrees to use the Service lawfully, correctly, and in compliance with these Terms and applicable regulations.
7. User Content (UGC)
The User is solely responsible for the Content they publish, upload, or transmit through the Service.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, logo, name "PawMeet", source code, algorithms, architecture, user interfaces, original text, graphics, and databases, is the exclusive property of Cervera Studio.
9. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Geolocation and safety
The Service uses the User's geographic location to find nearby Users and calculate compatibility scores. Location sharing is optional and requires explicit consent.
11. Account suspension and closure
PawMeet reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently close a User's Account in case of violation of these Terms.
12. Account and data deletion
The User may request deletion of their Account at any time through the app settings or by writing to [email protected]. A 30-day grace period applies before permanent deletion.
13. Changes to the terms
PawMeet reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Substantial changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice.
14. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. The Court of Milan has exclusive jurisdiction, subject to consumer protection regulations.

These Terms and Conditions of Use are drafted in compliance with applicable Italian legislation, with particular reference to the Civil Code, Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), Legislative Decree 70/2003 (e-commerce), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), and Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018.
